Event Information – Piston Power Show (2024)

2025 SHOW FLOOR: FEATURES & CAR CLUBS and MORE:

The top ISCA (International Show car Association) vehicles from around the country will once again be featured throughout the show floor in 20’ x 20’ feature areas and will compete for the Summit Racing Equipment I-X Piston Powered Auto-Rama Gold Cup and its top prize of $10,017 in cash.

To make sure show goers have enough fuel to make it through the show, the Filler’ Up Station will be located in the North Hall with a variety of food and beverage options. The area also serves as the Main Stage area for the Krazy Paint Auctions, the ISCA Awards and the Pedal Car Auction.

Also featured on the show floor for 2025 is the Model Car Contest which will be located inside the East entrance and the Krazy Paint Charity Panel Jam, who will be located on the North Wall, whose auction raised $47,895 for the Career and Technical School Foundation at the 2024 show.

The show since its inception in 2013 has always honored the military and first responders and will once again host the Designated Military Zone (DMZ) which hosts both Rolling Thunder and the Medina Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5137.

The 2025 show will also feature many commercial options for show-goers including the Swap Meet

Toy Modelers and Collectible tables along the South wall of the show. 90 Vendors will run from the North wall to the South wall.

The show will once again host a variety of car clubs that will each feature six cars in their club display and compete for the top cash prize of $1,000 under the 2025 theme:

FROM THE SOUTH

Take I-71 north to Exit #237 (Snow Road). Freeway signs will identify this exit as the I-X Center Exit. Turn left (West) on Snow Road, follow Snow Road until it dead-ends, then follow directions for Route 237 South. The I-X Center is located on the right side, past the traffic signal.

FROM THE SOUTHEAST

Take I-77 north to the Ohio Turnpike. Follow turnpike west to Exit #161. Follow I-71 north (Cleveland) to Snow Road. Turn left (west) on Snow Road, follow Snow Road until it dead ends, then follow directions for Route 237 south. The I-X Center is located on the right side, past the first traffic signal.

FROM THE WEST

Take the Ohio Turnpike East to Exit #161. Follow I-71 north (Cleveland) to Snow Road Exit. Turn left (west) on Snow Road, follow Snow Road until it dead-ends, then follow directions for Route 237 south. The I-X Center is located on the right side, past the first traffic signal. OR: Take I-480 east to Grayton Road exit; turn right on Grayton Road and left at the next intersection (Route 17). Follow signs to Route 237 south.

FROM THE NORTHEAST

Take I-90 West to I-71 south. Take Airport Exit (Route 237) south. The I-X Center is located one mile south of Hopkins Airport on the right side past the traffic signal.

FROM THE EAST

Take the Ohio Turnpike west to Exit #161. Follow I-71 north (Cleveland) to the Snow Road Exit. Turn left (west) on Snow Road, follow Snow Road until it dead-ends, then follow directions for Route 237 south. The I-X Center is located on the right side, past the first traffic signal. OR: Take Route 422 west to Interstate 480 west to the Airport Exit (Route 237) south. The I-X Center is located one mile south of Hopkins Airport on the right side past the first traffic signal.

Fire Regulations

No gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel or other flammable liquids may be stored inside the building.

No re-fueling activity of any kind is permitted within the I-X Center or on I-X Center property.

Vehicles with gasoline engines may be displayed with a maximum of two (2) gallons of gas remaining in the tank.

A locking gas cap must be installed, or the tank must be adequately sealed by tape or in some other appropriate manner.

All battery cables must be disconnected and taped to avoid potential sparks.

A City of Cleveland Fire Prevention Compliance Card must be displayed on each vehicle and approved by the City of Cleveland Fire Prevention

Bureau. Unauthorized vehicles will be removed at the owner’s expense.

All gasoline engines must be AGA approved.

The use of welding equipment, open flames or smoke emitting material as part of an exhibit must be specifically approved on an individual

basis by the City of Cleveland Fire Prevention Bureau. Written specifications must be submitted to the I-X Center to request City of Cleveland Fire Prevention Bureau approval.

All materials used in exhibits must be flame retardant. All such material is subject to inspection and flame testing. Certificate of compliance

should be readily available.

Crates, wooden boxes, packing material, etc., may not be stored in exhibition areas, meeting rooms or exit areas. Under no circ*mstances

will crate storage or equipment storage be permitted to obstruct emergency exits from any area of building. This rule is strictly enforced.

Fire fighting and emergency equipment may not be hidden or obstructed, including fire extinguishers, fire hose cabinets, fire alarm pull

stations and stand pipes.

All emergency exits, exit doors, hallways and aisles leading from the building are to be kept clear and unobstructed.

Clear access must be maintained to all restaurants, cafeterias, lounges, permanent food service facilities and utility panels.

Smoking Regulation

Smoking is not permitted inside the I-X Center or within 30 feet of a building entrance or walkway per Ohio Revised Code.

Restrictions

Motorized vehicles, forklifts, gas carts, etc., may not be operated anywhere in the exhibit halls during any Event open hours and may not be

operated in any carpeted area at any time.

I-X Center permanent graphics, signs or displays may not be visibly blocked. All signs and banners must be hung within the event area.

No soliciting is permitted in the I-X Center or on I-X Center property.

Exhibit space may not be made available to Instant Bingo vendors where cash is the winning prize.

Indemnification

The Participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Global Spectrum, L.P., dba Spectra,I-X Center andConvention IX Center, LLC, show manager, sponsor, nor any other officer, director or shareholder of any of the foregoing, or the owner of the building at which the show is produced, or the show producer (collectively the “I-X Parties”), against all claims, losses, liability, damages (including legal fees and expenses) costs and charges of every kind resulting from (i) its occupancy of the exhibit space and/or its environs, (ii) the use of equipment or devices furnished to or used by the Participant or other persons in connection with the Show, and (iii) personal injuries, death, property damages or any other damage sustained by the Participant, I-X, the facility, Show sponsors or a visitor to the Show and their respective directors, officers, agents, representatives and employees or those for whom the Participant is responsible in law.

Liability and Insurance

The Participant shall be responsible or liable for any loss or damage to all or any part of the Participant’s personal property, which shall specifically include, but not limited to, the Participant’s vehicle, trailer, display, material and/or parts, and the Participant hereby waives any and all rights it may have against them or any of them for such loss or damage. At the request of I-X Parties, the Participant shall provide I-X Parties with a copy of such policy.

  1. The Participant is responsible to insure its own exhibit, personnel, display and materials from any damage or loss through theft, fire, accident or other cause and accepts all risks associated with the use of the exhibit space and its environs. The Participant shall not make any claim or demand or take any legal action, whatsoever, against Global Spectrum, L.P., dba Spectra,I-X Center andConvention IX Center, LLC, show manager, sponsor, nor any other officer, director or shareholder of any of the foregoing, or the owner of the building at which the show is produced, or the show producer (collectively the “I-X Parties”),

for any loss, damage or injury howsoever caused, to the Participant, its officers, directors, agents, representatives, and employees or their respective property.

  1. Neither I-X Parties nor will the facility assume liability for loss for damage, through any cause, of equipment, products, goods, exhibits or other

materials owned, rented or leased by the Participant.

Building Policies

Parking

A fee will be charged for all Event days.

All unauthorized vehicles will be removed at the owner’s expense.

Employee parking areas are for the exclusive use of vehicles identified with a permanent I-X Center parking decal.

Parking will not be permitted within 20’ of fences, in fire lanes, service streets, vacant exhibit halls, loading dock areas or any other location

posted “no parking”.

Participant parking is available in designated areas. Permits are available by contacting the I-X Service Center.

Handicap parking areas are clearly designated around the facility and are to be used only as specified by state, local and federal laws.

Decorating

Special decorations, signs and banners, light and sound equipment, etc., may only be hung and removed from ceilings or walls by I-X Center

personnel after Producer has presented a comprehensive floor plan which details size, weight, location, height (20’ standard), etc.

Decorations or signs may not be taped, nailed, tacked or otherwise fastened to ceilings, walls, painted surfaces, columns or decorative fabric.

All signs must be created in a professional manner.

All outside signs and their locations must be approved in writing by I-X Center Management.

Helium balloons, “glitter”, decals and/or stickers may not be distributed. Mylar balloons are not permitted under any circ*mstances.

General

Food or beverages may not be brought into the building.

The passenger elevator and escalator is for use only in conjunction with rental of meeting rooms and/or Concourse Exhibit Hall and may not

be blocked or used to transport equipment or freight that is not carried by hand.

Animals are not permitted in the building unless they are part of an exhibit pre-approved in writing by I-X Center Management.

I-X Center employees are prohibited from accepting gifts, gratuities or other favors from parties doing business with the I-X Center.

Exterior exhibit hall exit doors and loading dock doors are not to be propped open. Automatic closing devices are not to be removed or

tampered with. All exhibit hall overhead exit doors and loading dock doors must be opened and closed by I-X Center personnel.

Unsafe conditions or activities must be brought to the attention of I-X Center management and corrective measures will be made immediately.

The right is reserved to immediately remove and/or prosecute anyone for the following reasons:

Use or possession of firearms

Use of illegal or controlled substances

Theft

Alcohol or drug abuse

Neglect of duty

Abusive language

Vandalism

Threats or assault

Other inappropriate actions

No horseplay, practical jokes, etc. will be allowed on the premises.

No speeding or reckless use of vehicles or equipment will be permitted.

Docks, loading/unloading areas and freight storage areas are restricted to authorized I-X Center employees only.

No pets allowed.

The building is in compliance with ADA regulations.
